FAQ

What foreign companies ask us most

Have a specific question? Message us on WhatsApp and our bilingual team will answer.

Is an electronic signature valid in Mexico?
Yes. Mexico's Commercial Code (Código de Comercio) recognizes electronic signatures and data messages. ZIGN supports simple and advanced signatures, including the e.firma issued by Mexico's tax authority (SAT), and attaches a NOM-151 certificate, trusted timestamps and an audit trail so you can prove who signed, what they signed and when.
What is a NOM-151 certificate and why do Mexican counterparties ask for it?
NOM-151 is the Mexican standard for preserving data messages. A NOM-151 certificate, issued by an accredited certification service provider (PSC), proves that a signed document has not changed since a specific date. Mexican companies, banks and authorities often ask for it as evidence. ZIGN adds it to every signed document.
Can I verify a Mexican company or person before signing?
Yes. Z-ID validates identity with biometrics, liveness checks and official IDs such as the INE voter ID or a passport. Z-BG checks more than 100 public sources, including RFC and CURP validation, SAT public lists published under Articles 69 and 69-B, OFAC and INTERPOL lists, court records, shareholders and related companies.
Is the platform available in English?
Yes. ZERO CLM, ZIGN and the signing emails your counterparties receive are available in English and Spanish. Our sales, implementation and support team works with you in both languages.
How is ZERO different from DocuSign or Adobe Sign?
Those platforms focus on electronic signature. ZERO is a complete suite: contract lifecycle management, AI for contracts, identity validation, background screening, digital contract files and NOM-151 e-signature, all integrated. If you already use DocuSign or Adobe Sign, ZERO connects with them.
How is ZERO priced for companies outside Mexico?
Plans are billed monthly in US dollars, starting at US$166.67 per month for the ZERO plan. Implementation, historical contract uploads and extra volume of signatures or files are quoted to your operation. Enterprise plans are custom.
